Background for Randy: I am and have been a Physical Education teacher for 11 years. I was a drug-free bodybuilder for thirteen years and during that time I got into 13 different bodybuilding shows while winning the overall 6 times. My major accomplishments on the bodybuilding stage include the following: 1994 Mr. Rockford held in Rockford, Illinois 1995 Mr. Illinois held in Chicago, Illinois 1997 & 2000 Natural Mid-States Classic held in Rockford, Illinois 2002 Team Universe 3rd place held in New York
For the past 4 years I have been the head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Proviso West High School. This position requires that I stay current with the fitness and performance improvement through proper body mechanics and efficient movement patterns. Once again, I do not claim to be an expert, but I deal with experts in the athletic or fitness field on a daily basis. Some of the things that my wife and I mention in this site will not be extraordinary, but rather the consistent application of functional fitness habits that make it successful. This is the type of information that I want my students and parents to have so they can make educated decisions when choosing a workout routine. As you refer to this site consider knowledge that can apply to your program. The more successful habits you can apply to your program the greater your success rate will be. Results will happen with a consistent educated effort!

Really what I am about is motivation and training hard. Training hard can be defined in so many ways and is unique to each person. For me it is always taking myself to the point of when I want to stop, but I keep pushing. It is also about training when you just don't feel like it. There are days when the demands are high and the kids have been up all night and you have a scheduled workout the next morning. Do you keep pushing? Working out has a much deeper level for me than the superficial benefits that people often seek. Happiness comes from with in. You will never see a before and after photo of me holding up a large size pair of pants with a huge smile on my face and holding my baby. For many reasons, which are personal to me. What I find TRU is it is about training the soul and reaching your goals that makes one happy. If you are interested in finding ways to stay motivated, finding time, and creative ways to train you have come to the right place. Please look at our videos and check out our links.
