Background Information
Background for Randy:
I am and have been a Physical Education teacher for 11 years. I was a drug-free bodybuilder for thirteen years and during that time I got into 13 different bodybuilding shows while winning the overall 6 times. My major accomplishments on the bodybuilding stage include the following:
1994 Mr. Rockford held in Rockford, Illinois
1995 Mr. Illinois held in Chicago, Illinois
1997 & 2000 Natural Mid-States Classic held in Rockford, Illinois
2002 Team Universe 3rd place held in New York

For the past 3 years I have been the head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Proviso West High School. This position requires that I stay current with the fitness and performance improvement through proper body mechanics and efficient movement patterns. Once again, I do not claim to be an expert, but I deal with experts in the athletic or fitness field on a daily basis. Some of the things that my wife and I mention in this site will not be extraordinary, but rather the consistent application of functional fitness habits that make it successful. This is the type of information that I want my students and parents to have so they can make educated decisions when choosing a workout routine. As you refer to this site consider knowledge that can apply to your program. The more successful habits you can apply to your program the greater your success rate will be. Results will happen with a consistent educated effort!

Using music as motivation
Our favorite Chicago Band is 7th Heaven. The band is opening up for Bon Jovi on July 30th! Their medley will make your 30 minutes of cardio go by super fast! We really like their song Gravity and This Summer's Gonna Last Forever. You can enjoy their music by watching our you tube videos. 7th Heaven's Website
